Thank You All So Much. As great ballplayers they stand proud. As tremendous young men, today they stand even more proud. They’ve grown. They’ve been enriched. That’s a cherished gift from all of you to them that is imbedded forever. And it is appreciated more than can ever be expressed. For Ruby and I, it is easy to see how impacting you’ve been on these Arizona kids and how far more valuable that is in life than what happens on the field. Exposure to great people is the trophy each of them will carry for a lifetime. Our sincere thanks to the Connie Mack World’s Championship committee for a great tournament. It was worldclass. Our thanks to the people of Farmington and surrounding communities that give new meaning to true baseball fans. Thanks to our team host, Giant Refining and Janet Mackey. Thanks to great competition and the other fine young men of Ohio, Troy New York, Florida, Lubbock Texas, Puerto Rico and the Farmington Host Team. Your skills and toughness will long be remembered. And most of all…our sincere appreciation to our Host Families, The Shay’s, Kysar’s, Dickson’s, Mitchell’s, Ballard’s, Bessey’s and Carl’s. You all made it so very special for “Subians”, the Coaches, Families and Friends. We’ll never forget the enthusiastic “Voice of Arizona”, Brian Shay.
